As of yesterday we are the proud new owners of three one year old EEs. They've been laying since February. I understand it will take some time to acclimate to their new surroundings before they begin laying again. About how long do you think before they start laying again? We're so excited, we keep peeking into their nesting box just in case.
A little info: they are in an A-frame chicken tractor with an enclosed roosting area up above (accessible via a pop door). I was pleased to see that they all headed up at dusk last night.
One other question: We've given them a few treats: a small tomato, carrot, and corn on the cob. They haven't touched any of it. Are they still getting used to new surroundings?
