Our first chicks arrived today!

18 (3 extra!) little ladies arrived this morning and we're in love with them. So far it seems they all survived the journey and are now enjoying their brooder, which I have plans for improving over the next week.

It's like when we brought our newborns home.. I keep thinking they've died, but then I touch them and realize they're just sleeping Maybe the anxiety will lessen over time. So far so good, at least.

We ordered 5 Plymouth Rocks, 5 Welsummers, and 5 Easter Eggers. It seems we were probably given one extra of each breed? I can't really tell.
