Our first egg....excited.....

Got our first egg today from one of two RIR....i think... the egg is kinda small and very light brown,maybe kinda a shade of pink...Is this common from a very young RIR???

Congrats on your new layer.
Anything can come from first eggs, or even a whlie after that, e.g. multiple yolks, no yolks, a lil' blood in the eggs, soft eggs, etc. They should become more consistent soon!

Got second egg today some time, same color, very light brown/pink'ish..
It looks just a little bigger today. I have another RIR same age , should I leave eggs in there to see if that will get the other to start or does it matter? Thanks.

The guy who sold them, (2 RIR's) to me, said they were about 5 months. But how do you really know unless you raised them from chicks yourself...
