Our first egg!!

Yes definatley don't disgard the eggs they are just as yummy as any others the chickens will produce.

Such a fun experience getting that first egg! And definitely enjoy every egg you get unless they are cracked or whatnot...

That is just what I had heard. This first egg had a crack in the bottom. We placed padding under the cedar chips to help prevent that. I guess the eggs are ok unless they are discolored for the first few? Thanks for your tips

Id say if the smell rotten or are broken then no don't eat em. Otherwise eat em all! Id have eaten the one duck egg that didn't have a yolk and was the size of a marble.... if it hadn't been cracked.
