Our first eggs

Gonna be a while on that Wyandotte - if that's a recent photo she's not red at all. I believe they're slower to come into lay as they're more of a decorative bird rather than a layer type.
I know she isn’t even close!! Lol. We thought she’d be first since she’s so big and also is older than the other pullets. But nature is the boss!

I have a hen that hatched at the end of January and is a cross between my WL roo and one of my BOs. She laid her first little (37 gram) egg 12 days ago at exactly 20 weeks of age, and has laid another nearly every day since, taking only 2 days off, for a total of 10 so far. They're getting a little bigger every time, though they're still small with today's being only 48 grams (about 1.7 oz). But I've got to admire her enthusiasm and work ethic in producing one every 28.8 hours on average.
Amazing!! Mine laid Sunday, Tuesday and again today! I’m just so proud of her! Lol

Wow! The egg is so light coloured! That’s kind of neat! I was expecting a plain brown egg. I like the light tan colour!
Me too! All the silver and gold laced lay a pinky tan, but both Columbian lay light cream 🤷🏽‍♀️

We got our first Wyandotte egg today! We now have two chickens laying! Lacy our silver laced Wyandotte is a beautiful girl who laid a pretty decent sized first egg! Hers is the plain brown one on the left and the speckled one is from our first layer Trudy. Just for comparison.
