Our first ever incubation just went on lock down.

Welcome to BYC! I think the hardest lesson that I've had to learn is patience. Fortunately, I have broodies. They have taught me so much.
My best broody is a big black langshan, she has never crushed an egg or a baby chick. I also have an extraordinary large cuckoo marans who goes broody twice a year. She hasn't crushed any either. Same for my orpingtons and they are large too. None of my brahmas have ever been broody.
