Our first hatch didn't work too well!

My dad and I took our first stab at hatching chickens. We bought seven fertile silkie eggs. Two were removed after first candling and then one at day 16 candling. The four remaining didn't hatch Not sure why- one of the four was not mature, the other three seemed fairly mature. The temp held fairly steady though may have risen to just below 104 degrees on day 21 -22. But mostly held steady around 101. Water remained in wells and they were in a turner. Any idea from pros what went wrong? Any idea how old this was?

did you have them in a turner while they were ready to hatch? that one looks like maybe day 18-19...

if there was water in the wells still do you know what your humidy was? i have lots of water in mine and can barely keep it up to 60-65%. I have to add sponges and soaked towels. there is a link in the learning center for incubating, it is very good for reference. you may be able to tell what went wrong from there.

sorry about the poor hatch tho.
