So we decided to get some fertilised eggs for a broody silkie that we rescued. She has successfully hatched babies previously, but this was her first nest with us, & our first nest ever.

I'm sure you can imagine how nervous I have been, but I've left Mumma to do her thing...today is Day 21, & we have our first arrival ❤️

Out of the 4 fertilised eggs, 2 stopped developing pretty early on, but both the others hatched yesterday, 10hrs apart....& yes, I sat & waited the whole time 😅

I am so in love with these little fluffballs 🥰

Pic 7...burried inside mums fluff, stretching its teeny drumstick 🤗

I just go post them to YouTube, then grab the link and post it here. There's a media button up top of the reply box.

And congrats!
Maybe I need my 11yr old to help me 🥴

Thank you 🤗 I am so happy that she hatched them successfully, it has been the best experience...even if nerve wrecking 😅

I managed to snap this pic just before chick 2 broke free...I'm so happy I was there to see it all happen!

All is going so well with these little fluffies ❤️

Truly the cutest little things, & I would watch them with Mum all day long if I could 🥴

After asking on another post, I'm thinking these guys might end up black? I'm not sure on the colours of the parents (purchased eggs) but she had black, white, silver & splash eggs available....I didn't pick any specifically....but their colouring now is very interesting.
