Our horses

thank you (blushes) would you believe that all the horses except TeeCee where classed as eithere dangerous (Boo and Majik) or flea bitten gypsy horses (Shamrock) or not worth the bother (Midge) just shows its not the horse but the owner that matters Boo was just scared all they did was scream and shout at him so what did he do he ran and the woman came off so they beat him so when the next guy got on her threw him off and i cant blame him, Majik was taken from his mom rushed onto a horse box drove 32 miles and locked in a stable he was scared and frighted so when they tryed to get him out he flipped an they locked him back in so we brought them both off the owners Shamrock was found at a Gypsy fair he had been shipped over from irland and was owned by some romanian gypsys a friend of ours brought him with 2 other horses just to stop someone he hated buy the horses and he told me i cpould take my pick of the three as my pony had unexpectedly had to be put to sleep and Midge was brought to the stables by some peope who said they had hand reared him and they just never came back he was so badly sunburnt all his fur started to fall out and the international protection for horses told the farm owner to have him culled as he was worthless my mom steped in straight away and said we would have him so we did they all have homes for life we have had shamrock and Boo 9 years now and Majik and TeeCee 3 Years and midge 4 years

my appaloosa mare! I bought her (she had never been ridden at the time) at coming 5 for $300 from an old cowboy almost 25 years ago. She became one of the best jumpers in the competitive barn I boarded her at. Eventually she won many championships and at only 15. 2" she could jump higher, faster and make tighter turns than the much taller thoroughbreds and warmbloods that cost more than my home at the time. She acted like a puppy dog with me and even learned hand signals from me (I am an animal behaviorist) as I healed from my badly injured ankle. I miss that sweet mare.

My shammy was and is a bit of a sod he doesnt like to be told what to do he gets very annoyed with the ridden judges you have to work with him not tell him so where the perfect match

my mom always has said he never will go as well for anyone else even her and she was a top rider in her day she rode with some of the whittakers and tim stockdale when she was younger at some competitions

For me the sleek look they have. The way their mane is done up, your attire, not only the saddle but the bridals as well
Beautiful horses! How blessed you were to be brought up in such a world

I have a horse like that, too. She was said to be nasty and dangerous. We got her free and I was scared to think of what we had gotten ourselves into at first. However, she has turned out to be the sweetest horse! Her and I get along just fine.

I also must say english horses have some pretty awesome hooves. They are huge! Definitely another thing a lot of US (well north eastern horses anyways. The dakotas have some pretty nice hooved horses!) are lacking.
