Oh that's a shame Ben. Let's see how these go, and if you have no joy I'll try the bigger express bag so I can use more padding. Still it's a long way for eggs to travel. Just hope that the others didn't get too shook up.

It is a long way to travel and I am happy we got as many as we did, although there was a part if me that did not expect breakages lol.

First time shipped egg experienced!

Packaging was intact, must have just been slammed about at some point. One yolk that was intact seemed to not have the bullseye, but two towhees did. The other three were simply scrambled so I could not check them.

More fluffies expected.......last ones for a while hahahahaha

I just candled them, looks to me like only one separated aircell, and one looks a little odd shaped. They will all go in tomorrow and just have to wait and see what starts off growing.

Nice light eggs should make them easy to candle

Tomorrow will be cooler, pan to make a start on that big brooder conversion.

you know you're a chicken person when you think "those are nice looking eggs". Hey Ben, those are nice looking eggs! Can't wait to see what comes from them may they all be females. I swear the US Postal Service knows how to target the female eggs.

Try a thick walled Styrofoam thermos box. Each egg wrapped in news paper and bubble wrap to bottom and sides.

Got the majority of my winterizing done. I am so bushed! Some thing tried to get in the marans coop again. Only this time left big blood patch on the out side of the door. Oh well. Better it than my birds.

DH said when she got up to eat, all eggs had hatched. She nested on 7. She was growling too much to be able to see all the babies, but I will keep trying.
