I am not sure how to start but my flock had an unfortunate day yesterday. The heat was too much. We filled the water with ice and took them out to put some ice on their legs but we found them this morning
. We are devastated but there is still one bird left, our buff Orpington. I am not sure what we should do with her. I want to keep her but I won’t be able to get another chicken. We are getting a second puppy as well. I have had her for four years and it feels like giving her up for adoption is betraying her. But it could be better for her if she became part of a larger flock. If anyone has any advice, please let me know.
