We have six chickens (red pullets) that we have raised since they were chicks. They are sweet, love people, fed a vegetarian diet and well cared for. We got them in April 2014 so they're about a year old. They give us a half dozen eggs a day.

This past September we opened our own family business and time had since become scarce. With two kids and both of us working to keep our business open, the chickens don't get the time the deserve. I really don't want them going to someone who will just eat them.... they are so sweet with great personalities. It breaks my heart to come to the realization that rehoming is their best option. Any advice?

I think that chickens like to be with other chickens. So as long as you provide food, shelter and protection for them they'll be fine. Don't feel too guilty about not spending time with them - they have each other.

I Live in the country and have a Chicken pin that's 5 foot wide 5 foot high and 19 feet long that will make a beautiful Home for Up to 12 chickens send them to me and I will only use them to lay eggs and Raise more chickens my address is Billy Phillips 217 Sunny field lane Camden TN 38320 thank you

What kind of hens are they? I can't take roosters but will take any calm chickens. Obviously they handle the weather...you're in Buffalo! I'm in Rockland County, NY and can drive up and get them.

aw im so sorry you have to give them away. It wouldberaky heart to do so. If you want to keep them as long as they are fed, watered and have shelter they will be ok with other chickens for company.
