Our Leghorns beak is bleeding-HELP!

we have two small children-and we have had the chix for two years now-this white one is our fav-she greets us in the morning and follows us around the yard-and when we woke up on sunday with blood dripping off her beak and on to her breast we were VERY scared!

Oh my goodness. That looks incredibly painful. How is she doing today? Is she eating OK? Sounds like you did a great job cleaning with saline and applying neosporin. Other than possibly offering pain meds, it seems you have done all you can do and now it is just up to her to get to healing. Poor lady!

Please keep us posted on her progress.
