Our nearly 9 week old duck cant weight bear

If you have a vet you use often they may sell you some metacam meloxocam it’s for pain an inflammation. Let her rest and give her warm water soaks to take the pressure off her leg and also helps keep the leg muscles from getting to weak.

Watch to see how she uses her leg tomorrow. Sounds to me like she may have been injured before you got her and it’s progressively gotten worse, I still rec the liquid BComplex though because it supports muscle strength. And it could still be a niacin def. since chick crumb doesn’t have the necessary b vitamins especially niacin that our ducklings need and that can cause lameness crooked legs pigeon toes and neurological problems even death if left untreated.

Hi miss lydia we have noticed this morning her other leg and middle toe is swollen. Over been giving her a warm bath (one yesterday and one this morning) she has also had an asprin yesterday. I'm wondering whether it would have taken this long to swell as she hasnt been active on it since about Wednesday? I'm wondering if we should take her to the vet. She seemed to perk up yesterday after her warm bath. She ate alot and drank alot last night. Any other advice would be gratefully appreciated. Thank you

If you can get her to a vet that would be a good idea. Something is def going on and a good exams would be much better than us trying to guess what it could be. If it’s an injury they can give you something for inflammation and pain .
