Thank youIt was very obvious I had a roo in my most recent batch of Australorp pullets. The pullets developed big poofy tails very early on (2-3 weeks or so - continuing into 6 weeks or so)... and they continued to become fluffier. The little roo had a much stumpier tail, and feathered in much slower.

Edit: just took another look at the pics - I think mine are right around the same age and the tails do seem to show the same story that others are confirming (one roo one pullet). My little roo also carries himself a bit more upright than the pullets do.
