My Mallard drakes all looked like solid brown hens until their color came in. My White Pekin was bright yellow, the Chocolate Runner was grey and the Grey Runner was icky yellow brown looking. When I saw the brown baby ducks I couldn't see how they were standing, they looked a lot like my Chocolate Runner. Do they stand upright or do they squat?

Yea, I'm thinking they might be another type too b/c mallards & rouens look the same, and they are brownish/black w/yellow stripes. But regardless they are adorable!

These are my baby ducks as they looked quite awhile ago. In the first picture my Mallard Drake is in the foreground, he is brown with yellow markings. In the second picture Hershey the Chocolate Runner is in the front, then Whitey the White Pekin, then Twinkie the male Runner, then Emirel is the Mallard Drake in the very back swimming. Beautiful chicks! My guess for the ducks would be a Black swedish and a Khaki campbell. The black swed would be the one with yellow on chest. Campebll the chocolate brown one. Deffinetly not mallards!

we added 4 more chicks to the flock today. We got 4 Ameraucanas. I think their going to be Silver Ameraucanas.

On a side note. What do I do with the roosters? We just want hen's.
