She looks like my Chika. She seems to have some rat terrier in her and maybe some chihuahua. Chika is a rat terrier mix and looks similar to her in the face. We have a story similar to yours. We have had pit bulls dumped on our street, lots of cats, so it wasn't surprising to find her on that rainy Monday. My neighbor put her in his garage and fed her. The next day we heard REALLY loud crying, it was her. When we went to get her, she had a choke chain on her neck, it wouldn't come off. It had to be cut off. We took her to the vet, no microchip, no signs posted. We think someone just dumped her because all my neighbors, me included have well taken care of dogs, so naturally we would take them in right? Sadly yes. Like you, it took convincing for my dad to say yes. He did and she is ours now. We had her spayed and the vet said she was about 7 months old. Not sure why people can't just take their pets to a no kill shelter or try to find a home for them. Good luck with the pup!
Aw, thats so sweet! Rescue dogs are the best!
Lol! IKR! Thats what i was thinking! lol! Thanks! I know, its scary when your pet goes missing. What a cutie, isn't it funny that the dog instinctively knew to cozy up to your dad? Usually the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, maybe your dad's heart really likes naps lol. I know you will keep your ears and eyes open in case someone is looking for Lily. We lost our dog for 2 days, it was the worst 2 days of my life (neighbor had him and actually took him one more time as well, he is mentally challenged and didn't know any better). It sounds like you have been responsible in trying to locate the owner. I hope everything work's out in your favor.
Thanks so much! Aw, I hope she knows!Lilly's a cutie!! She's very lucky to have you in her life. She knows she's found the perfect family to love and cherish her forever.![]()
