Excellent workmanship! Hopefully you are using cedar fence boards for your trim and ripping them down to size. $1.59 for a 1"x6"x6' is cheaper than clear cedar by far.

I will be painting it inside and out. My neighbor commented that she liked the plain look, but I personally don't like the unpainted T1-11. It just sticks out like a sore thumb among all the green. My goal is to make it attractive and not an eyesore (to me or anyone else, hopefully).

I really like the cedar trim, I haven't decided whether I want to clear stain it (to preserve the wood look) or paint it. In either case the T1-11 will definitely be painted.


The coop is exceedingly well-ventilated. I have to thank patandchickens for her very informative BYC pages. I'll measure the windows and post the ventilation sq footage.
