Our New Coop!

I wanted to share our new coop here as everyone here was very instrumental in helping us figure out what to do. I gathered up a ton of information on all of th large coop designs here and based ours on a few from here. I did a blog post on it if you are interested.

Very nice. How much space is in the no chicken side of the coop? Just storage like pictured? It looks like a great place to build a permanent brooder. Or even a hospital/maternity section. Well done!

Great coop... And it has my all time favorite feature--- the nest box accessed from the storage area!! (I'm living vicariously through you now while my poor babies are in a tractor supply coop til I can get one built. Lol)

Thank you! <3 The run was super important to me since we are not able to let our chickens free range. Using the screws + washers to attach the hardware cloth was a brilliant and secure idea I got from here.

The chicken side is 12x11 and then the storage side is 12x5. I have added some cabinets and shelves on the storage side since the pictures. And I think I still have room for a hospital/maternity section which was also part of my plan at some point. Having chicks in the coop and not in my house will be huge! LOL
