Our New Coop

It got kind of tricky. We still wanted access to the hutch lid from outside the run so we put chicken wire around the bottom of the hutch on the sides and back, but ran the run wire right up to the sides and top. Don't know if that makes any sense but here are a few pictures:

I don't know if you can make out the chicken wire in the photo's but there is no chicken wire around the three sides that support the shingled hutch roof.

thats fantasic!!!! do you have to go inside the run and lock up the rabbit too? or does the rabbit put himself to bed like chickens? just curious?

Yes, unfortunately we have to go inside the run to lock up the rabbits. So far we have not let them stay out late enough to see if they would go back in. As it is now, the ramp that is attached to the hutch we purchased (which serves at the door as well) is too steep so we have a separate piece of wood that we have to put on top of the built in ramp. That means we have to go in an remove it to close the door on the hutch. In addition, you need to be inside the run to latch it closed. We may come up with a fix for this eventually. Right now I'm just happy to finally have the coop and run done!
