We have a 1/2 acre pond. I don't know if a tub pond would be enough when they are full grown, the adults we saw would fill up a baby pool. This is our first try at any waterfowl and I just got my first book in. I do know they NEED water to swim in or they will develop leg problems. Happened to one of the swans the gentleman sold before. He told them they needed a baby pool for it while it was growing (after the first feathers) and before it was big enough for the pond, but they didn't listen
and I believe it developed a form of spraddle leg and had to be put down. They are very heavy, even as hatchlings
