We live in the UK and I have been wanting to get Chickens for eeeeever !!
Finally my hubby thought it was a good idea.... ??? who knows maybe he is trying to avoid more kiddies
we have 5 girls.
Hubbys Maran called Eve ( old and grumpy
no eggs
Oldest daughters Goldtop Bantam Goldie, ( hysterical bird very scatty , no eggs
My youngest daughter Isa Warren 20 weeks CoCo ( First egg!! after much drama and panic on her part as she didnt know what was going on and cried all afternoon ( the chicken that is ) until she finally laid her egg.
My Gorg! Star Lark Indiana who has laid a beautiful blue egg every day for the entire week since we got her.
And finally the newcomer Jones a Welsummer who lays a darker brown egg every other day or so.
We have have had our girls for a week and these are our eggs
!!
