Breeder had chickens and a little girl who socialized him. He's a perfect little mini dachshund and perfect for our family. Almost crate trained 8 weeks old to the day...my three dd's are so thrilled!! No more than my DH though....he's never had a puppy/dog before...his parents would never let him. So watching him play with this puppy is so sweet!

Thank you thank you. You sure cheered a grumpy old lady. I love the puppy. When I was a kid the neighbor next door had a red male ,Nippy (he did more than that) and the sweetest B& T female Weinie. Oh how we loved Weinie

In defense of the male, the father in the house was an alcoholic, his son was a ferocious bully , and his daughter was afraid of her shadow.

BTW we have tons of dog people here, so it's nice to have a puppy break amid all the chicken, duck, geese, etc. news.
