Our New Run

We are very new to having chickens, in fact, just 4 days. We have learned a lot from this forum and want to thank everyone for taking the time to post.

Anyway, we love our 6 girls and built them a run from 2 dog kennels that we picked up at Wal-Mart for $22.50/each. We are posting a picture, any and all comments are very much appreciated. I still have some work to do but it safe and secure for the chicks.

They do now!

I have lots of work to do still to make them all happy and comfortable.

Were these kennels on "ultimate clearance" or something??? They run well over $200 at my Walmart.

We got a killer deal on these kennels! We saw a miniature display and asked if they had any left and how much they were asking for them. A worker took us to the garden center where they had assembled 2 of them. He told us that the wind had torn the tarps off and that the manager would probably take less for them. The worker came back and told us that they were normally $45.00 each and the manager would knock 50% off the price. So, we didn't argue and we bought both of them for $45.00!!
