Hello

Our goose of 18 years appears to have a broken wing and leg/foot he has been with us to many years to let him go,

He sits one sided and will not come out of our lake, when he tries to stand up on one leg,,,,,,,,he has a tendency to go up to the road,, he may have been hit by car.

I plan to try to catch him in the morning with a net, is there anything he can have for pain, can I reset the leg and wing, very up to the task if he can handle the pain.

We LOVe this goose, I was gone to Atlanta since Sunday got home Wed. and he would not come to greet me, I have automatic feeder that slings corn twice a day, I did get him to eat some corn, very little that I threw in the water, dark caught up with me and he goes to center of 5 acre lake that is his and two other geese, a small slice of heaven for my geese.......

can anyone offer suggestioons, tomorow I plan to get him laying mash with antibiotics in it, any other suggestion

I am farm raised and 60 years old, worked with animals all my life, but my goose/geese is another story............

Metacam is safe for water fowl for pain has to be gotten through a vet and here is a link to info on setting legs.
