Meet Twix! My nieces named him as a chick, hoping he'd be a hen. But he's not, and they live in city limits and can't keep him, so today they brought him to us.
They had never heard him crow (he's about 17 weeks), but as soon as we put him with my flock he started crowing! It was so surprising and funny!
There were a lot of kerfuffles as he tried to jump on everybody and they were not happy about it. I kinda knew to expect that, but it was still pretty scary. Thankfully everyone seems to have settled down and things are peaceful for now. I hope it works out to keep him! My sister is really thankful that he can have a good home with us. He was a good boy in their flock, so hopefully he's good for us too.
