Hi all, we really need help figuring out what’s going on with our sweet rooster. He’s about a two and half old. earlier this year we realized that his spurs were cutting into his leg so we cut them down. we did our best to give him the love he needed. after the healing took place he is still walking as if he’s in pain- he pulls his leg up very far up and does a lot of exaggerated walking.
he doesn’t sit on his perch at night like he used to, he struggles a lot when walking around the coop. Seems to be eating normally and still mating.

any ideas as to what might be the cause or what these that are on his legs are ? Any solutions? We aren’t sure if it is an infection or just from his previous injury.

I had a rooster who's spurs grew up into his body. But once we twisted off the outer spur he would walk fit and be able to sit. Did you look to mae sure there are no wounds where the spurs were poking him?

The legs looks like scaly leg mites. You can rub some vaseline on the legs to smother them.
