Hi all, we really need help figuring out what’s going on with our sweet rooster. He’s about a two and half old. earlier this year we realized that his spurs were cutting into his leg so we cut them down. we did our best to give him the love he needed. after the healing took place he is still walking as if he’s in pain- he pulls his leg up very far up and does a lot of exaggerated walking.
he doesn’t sit on his perch at night like he used to, he struggles a lot when walking around the coop. Seems to be eating normally and still mating.

any ideas as to what might be the cause or what these that are on his legs are ? Any solutions? We aren’t sure if it is an infection or just from his previous injury.

I am not an expert on this by any means but is it possible he has scaly leg mites? The scales on his legs look pretty rough. I don't know if the raw spots could be related. Hopefully you get more answers soon

Any luck on an answer to this?? Same thing I’ve noticed on my roosters leg. I also thought it was the spur so I removed most of it, but seems to still be there from time to time- the raw looking spots.
