Not to get on an tangent here, but this whole vaccine not safe, not tested properly thing is why I forbid the doctor's office to administer that Human Papaloma virus vaccine....Guardasill(sp).
Two things, no, you DO NOT have to vaccinate you child against anything. Not even for public schools - although, they make is very very difficult on parent's who don't. There are forms and yearly updates and such you have to go through. It varies from state to state, but they can't make you vaccinate against anything.
Secondly, when I took my DD to doctor for yearly physical they took her back to examine her (won't let her out of my sight again) since she was 15 1/2. After about 1/2 hour they came back out to go to another room??? and the nurse handed me a form telling me what they were gonna give her vacc wise. NOT ASKING ME MIND YOU - TELLING ME.
I said," she is NOT to be given the guardasill one" They looked at me like I was from Mars.
"Oh, I'll have to tell the head nurse that." she said to me.
"Fine" I said
Head nurse comes out to basically interrogate me for why I was denying the vacc. I told her it was an unproven vacc, it only covers "some" of the forms that "may" cause the cancer, and my DD was not a guinea pig. I told her I have read the information on it and my DD was not going to be given that shot.
She tried to argue but I told her not gonna happen. Then she made me sign a form saying I declined it. I swear I thought they were gonna call social services!!!
It's ridiculous how these "medical professionals" act like since they have a degree hanging on the wall they are smarter than you and they know how your body works better than you do. Heaven forbid we actually become INFORMED consumers and act in our own best interests.
I actually had an OB/GYN tell me - after months of tests and exams, that my pelvic pain was all in my head since he couldn't find a reason for it. He wanted to put me on anti-depressants. I told him no thanks, his incompetency was not an excuse to drug me up.
I eventually found a repro specialist(and woman) who told me I had a deep infection and prescribed a cream that all but cured the pain. I mean like a 100% difference!!! She said it would have been obvious if he had read the culture properly AND took seriously the fact that I was always "slightly inflamed and sore". 'Cause if you're crazy, you can make that happen EVERY TIME you are examined!!!
Then there is the long story of how my dad's doctors killed him, but I won't go into that right now. Need less to say, I have a serious distrust of anyone who thinks they know what's "best" for me or my children, especially if they have MD at the end of their name.........come to think of it, if they work inside the beltway, I don't have a lot of trust in them either. Those people don't know me - how can they make decisions about what's good for me????
Uh OH, sorry hijack over.........
