Our version of Harriet's House

Inspired from folks in this forum, we created our own version of Harriet's House.

First, we dug up the existing area to prepare for our drainage system.

After the drains and plastic were in place, we covered the space with gravel. We then began the frame, and added the dirt.

Constructed the coop

Built the roof

Painted the inside of the coop and added shingles to the roof

Painted the exterior and added the fencing

Added the finishing touches: doors, ramps, roosts, etc. and now my girls have a home!
Thanks to my lovely, devoted builder, Jason and to backyardchicken for the design idea! I can't wait to see my chicks in their new, deluxe coop.

Beautiful!!! Congrats on the completion. I think there is a coop design contest, you should consider entering! I know you borrowed the design but I think the contest is more about documentation than necessarily creating it yourself.
