Jimmy I agree mine are super soft as well, and they are extremely fast and sure footed for babies as well. We had two sitting on the couch for picture taking to send to Wildlife folks, and the flash of the camera scared out of them little critters, it took off over the pleated cushions of the lower back part of the couch - and then came back again, having a fit. Too funny, but sure surprised us, I didn't expect them to be that fast or to be able to not lose its footing and fall (since he was running on just an edge of cushion) - I guess its natures way to help them keep up with mama in the wild - also probably why they have those big ol' feet.
