Has anyone tried brooding their chicks outdoors? I don't mean in a shed or something like that, but just weather-proofing the brooder box/container itself? If you have any pics or ideas please post. I can't have any more chicks in the house, so I need ideas. thanks

Here is a few pics of what I did for my little ones.....They came home on Febuary 23 and I live in UTAH still cold very cold at night 20-30 degrees. first 3 week i left them enclosed no window trap door closed. with one heat lamp during the day and on the colder nights Two. they did fantastic out there. and no mess in the garage. at 3 weeks I cut the trap door for them so they could explore the run below the brooder. at 5 weeks I cut the window for them and only cover it when it was cold or the wind was blowing into it. worked great.......Only problem is they are groing to fast and need to move out

thanks tenmore for the pics. I was thinking about just using a good wooden box with a solid roof on it. If no other ideas I like turn up, I'll be doing that.
