I have some outdoor kitties and I have a cat door going into my garage for them. I left it open so they got use to going through it and then I put the flap on. They figured out how to push it open quickly.

Has anyone every built an outdoor cat enclosure, and if so was it easy or very hard to build. and can you show photos.

Nice!
Chainlink is good too, and 2"x4" woven wire fencing. I'd avoid the 4"x4" goat fencing as having too large openings that cats can get through.
For added biosecurity for your cats, having a second fence outside of the run would prevent intercat interactions, spreading diseases from feral visiting cats to yours.
Litter boxes out there, under cover, get them out of the house, a very good thing too.
