All,
I would like to either purchase or make trough-style feeders for my coop lot. I currently either scatter scratch or mash directly on the ground or place it in rubber livestock bowls. Both of these feeding methods result in waster or wet food. I'd like to find something with a roof that protects the foods a bit so they don't get wet. Any thoughts, plans, links to pictures or places where something like this could be purchased would be most appreciated! Thank you!

I built on for my hogs, suppose it could be used by chickens too.

Take 2 2x6's nail em into a V. Place ends on them, and 2 V bases to keep em level. Take a 2x4 nail it to the ends and another in a T position where you want the bottom of the roof to be. Put plywood as the roof and shingle it, or tin/steel. Simple and takes only a couple hours.
