Outdoor pen question

What is your setup?
I'd have put them out already. They can and should be exposed to the soil they will live on by about 7 days old.
If it is that hot, you will need to provide lots of shade and cool water. Heat will kill a chicken much easier than cold.
Some, myself included, provide a very large piece of ice in a shallow plastic bin in a shady location. The chickens will wallow in it and drink the cold water to help keep cool. I also cut up fruit into small pieces and freeze it then break up the chunks and feed them.
My set up at moment from raising them indoors is a plastic pool with pine wood shavings in it. However the coop outside has a chick run with green grass but has wood floor inside just in case I did give them grass clippings though not every day just every now and then

Are they getting grit? They need that to digest anything but chick crumbles. If not, give them a separate container of chick grit and secure it some way so they can't knock it over.
They need to be exposed to the soil.
I would certainly move them out if their coop and run are secure and predator proof.
Have Corid on hand just in case they develop coccidiosis. I'm not saying they will, but if anyone shows symptoms you need to act immediately and it is just best to have it if you need it vs needing it and not having it.

I'm up in Manitoba Canada, Summers can be around +30 to 40 down to -40 50 in the winter (Celsius).
I only hatch chicks in the spring and early-mid summer but I wait roughly 3-4 weeks.
If I were to hatch closer to fall I would probably wait 5-6 weeks till they are a bit older. Keep the lamp away also so they can get used to the colder temps.

I am fairly new to keeping chickens and my babies have been in the house at night since hatching. I take them out every day for about 12 hours in a 3 foot high chicken wire lined exercise pen with netting on top. They have a dust bath pan, bamboo roosts low to the ground, fresh water and chick feed all day plus they are given grass, dandelions, and lots of greens, grains, and treats every morning. They have been on heat till about a week ago at night, youngest is 6 weeks now. They know the routine and are happy healthy babies. I also have 2 mature hens who are beside them in another pen. I live in central Alberta Canada. Permanent run is being constructed. :)
