I have a Hova Bater and a plastic incubator running right now both are circulating air with fans. Hova-Bator is upstairs and the plastic one is downstairs in kitchen. Currently my humidity outside it 98%. We do have heat on in the house about 20 degrees celsius. Our inside humidity is around the 45-50% mark.

The Hova-Bator with one vent hole open is maintaining great temp and humidity in the 50% mark with water in tray (Eggs on day 1)
The plastic one where the eggs are at Day 6, the humidity is out of control! I had about a teaspoon of water in and humidity hit 62%! So I took all water out, and drilled some vent holes. Currently it is back to proper temperature and sitting at around 50% humidity but with no water in the incubator. Is this ok?

It was working really well but it did rain a lot last night so I imagine the humidity was increased a bit due to that?

I have 11 embryos growing in there so I am on high alert.

Thank you for reading!

Yes, no water is ok as long as you can keep the incubator at a good humidity level - which it sounds like you can.

It should all be fine. Just keep and eye on the humidity. Many people dry hatch with no problems.
