I got my first four chicks on the 25th of March and they were a few days old when I got them. They are almost fully feathered - they'll be five weeks tomorrow - at what overnight temperature is it ok to put them in the coop? I'd really like to get some of these girls out of my living room.

Second question - if I put them out in groups - what is the liklihood that we'll have in fighting between them. The first group I got the 25th of March, I've added a few a week up until today when I added two more. Do I need to put them all outside at the same time?

Thanks.

aka - crazy chicken mom!

If they are getting along fine now I say put them all out together. I very seldom keep them in more than two weeks. I do provide them with a draft free area and light for awhile if the temps are a bit cool. Watch for cocci at this time. They are most vunerable after being stressed and in a new envioment.
