Hi! We have 13 new birds ready to go outside to their run and coop. They are 7 weeks old and fully feathered. There’s a cold front coming through and the next few days it will be 34 degrees at night. Is it too cold for them? Will this be ok without a light or should we just keep them in the garage a few more days?

How much warmer is your garage compared to the coop?
Hopefully the heat lamp has been off for a couple weeks?

Yes we did wean them off. They survived last night at 40 degrees outside. To ught and tomorrow it’s going to be 39 and 34. Should be ok right? They aren’t acting cold at all during the day.

They will be fine. They have down jackets. I put one batch of mine out at 4 weeks, another at 5 weeks-- both batches did fine in freezing temps. I provided a 'huddle box' in case they needed it, but they never used it. They just got up on the roost and that was that.
