Outside time

4 Buffs are 5 weeks old
2 Speckled Sussex, 1 Black Sex Link and Golden Sex Link - 4 weeks old

I think this is the 3 rd time they have been outside...

We are still bringing them in at night, but I am thinking that we should finish up the predator proofing the chicken run in the next couple of weeks. Do you think they would be alright outside full time in a couple of weeks?

send them out they have feathers if you have a secure coop they can go out

I wish mine could go out at that age.

I think I would feel better if they were closed up in the coop at night. Wouldn't want to find any weak spots in the run because of dead birds on the group.

Here in Oklahoma we have had a cold spell, but this week starting around Wednesday the high at night is going to be 52. The daytime temps are going to be in the high 60's to 70's....

They will be locked up in the coop at night.

This is the coop that we have... I know its a prefab but its really well made, we have it underneath the car port of the garage/shed... we have sprayed weather proof. We have added hardware cloth all the way around the bottom and tonight we finished putting down the welded wire fencing as the apron. I think we have a few more things to finish but I think its about ready!!!
