Outstanding Automatic Feeder

I've sold thousands of treadle feeders in the last ten years. Maybe a handful of cases where a customer had that problem and asked for help. My advice then was to invite the hen to Sunday dinner.

We have Bantam Cochins.
Fairly light without the neck reach of a full sized chicken
What would be a good feeder for them?

Daughter is getting married in April out of town and really need to start getting the chickens trained

Bantams are too light to operate a truly rat proof feeder. The reach problem is solved with a duck step added but by the time you set the feeder light enough to allow bantams to use it it is no longer rat proof. No other larger birds in the flock?
