My 6 BA hens began laying on the first day of Fall.
Since then, they have provided us with over 300 eggs! I had been feeling like they have been slacking a little, lately (I had one semi-broody- my best layer- an egg a day from Day One til the day she became hell-bent to hatch 3 eggs and a golf ball!), and was worried about it.
Now I have actually counted up the total number, I don't feel so bad! With an average of 50 eggs each in just 2 and a half months, I can't really complain!!!
Thanks for all your support, understanding, and wisdom since May when I brought these little black fluffy butts home!
