Over-breeding?

I have 1 rooster and 5 hens there all about 3 months old so there not mating but i was wondering if he would over-breed them thanks in advance.

It can happen but not always. Often it is when the boys find one favorite hen. If you have the room for it you could easily double you female population. Unless you want to hatch some eggs you don't even need a roo. I don't mind the boys because they go in the freezer.

Over mating certainly could occur as the general rule of thumb is 10-12 hens for each roo.
I would suggest getting more girls around 3 months old.

You will have to wait and see how it goes. Some roosters are fine with that many hens and others will mate them bald. Be prepared to remove him if he gets too boisterous. I sometimes remove teenage roosters and pen them separately until they mature and calm down a bit before giving him back his freedom, most times they have improved greatly.
