Background story.

1. I don't know anything about chickens.

2. We hatched some last July, they still aren't laying.

3. I'm pretty sure they are all roosters but one. 9 of 10. Talk about some odds.

4. I don't know what kind(s) they are - they came from eggs from a grandparent and they didn't know the type.

Do you see a female in the bunch other than the far right hen in the first picture? And what kind are these btw? Lastly, what does one do with 8 roosters? Chicken and dumplings?

BRAKE OUT THE BEER AND BBQ ! ////// I can't say for sure if they crow have spurs or ride the backs of others -proably won"t lay many eggs ! Lots of cases they don"t lay until they get anuff sun light per day aLso breed and feed make differance how soon and other things. Looked like to me you have some bar rock or dominiqures cross and some columbian cross . See what others tell you . Lots of luck with them and if you don;t want to eat them you might sell them on craigslist to some one at other market value .

They look like Delaware Chickens and I can't tell if they are rooster or hens but rooster will start to crow and also they usually have bigger feet. This picture might help you tell if it's a hen or rooster.
