Hey everyone I really know what to think or do for this chick. It’s an EE named Kathy and seems to have a slightly open beak all the time. She is holding it a bit more open in the picture but you get the idea. She has made it this far eating and drinking by herself. I haven’t had time to sit and watch her lately but I will tomorrow. She is four weeks old today. What should I do? Trim or file it?
Use a fingernail clipper or a nail file and trim the beak where it's marked in green. Just don't hit the quick and make it bleed. It'll help some but I don't know if it will get it 100%.

Hello, here with an update. I’m looking at this chick, and I realized at least one other is having what looks to be an overbite as well. I trimmed both their beaks and filed them a bit.
