wow, are my coops ever giving me eggs. The WLH coop is giving my egg shells that are hard to crack they are so thick. I am not fee ranging because i am concerned about preditors. I am feeding laying feed and scraps, and also have oyster shell . are they getting too much calcium? the barred rocks have the same feed, but normal shells. should i remove the oyster shell?

I have had some very hard eggs and it was when they had a lot of extra calcium. I would leave in the oyster shells since they should get what they need. Do not mix it into their food, just leave it as free choice in a seperate container.
