I needed this thread this morning. Had a chick pip yesterday that I ended up having to help last night. Once I did, I understood why. The membrane was at least three times thicker than any of the others. I had to snip with scissors. Chick just laid there for hours, and this morning, it’s still worn out. It’ll wiggle around and cheep if I touch it, but doesn’t have the energy to lift its own head or stand yet. Either way, it’s an improvement from last night. I guess as long as things keep improving, this little one will start chickening in its own time
