Owl attack!

I have lost 6 pullets in the last two days to an owl!!
This morning i caught him!,it was strange how he was doing it but i'll explain my sighting..

Looked out winda this morn',and saw the owl walking around chicken tracter,"OHHH CRAP",he was attracting the little pulets over to the wire,(i guess they thought the owl was a full grown chicken,so they came over to talk??)but when he got them to the wire he would grab them with his beak through the wire and flap his wings to try to pull them through,,,

little chickens seem to die very very easily,so after the owls first tug at them through the wire they die,then they fall below the 2x6 and the owl cant get them,,so he tries for another,does it agian,kills another one,then agian,fails..and i guess the morning and me running out there stoped him.

It makes me so darn madd!that my stock for next year is gone!!!,almost...i just have 9 hens 1 roo,out of the original 21 or so that i had got in JULY!!! Im fixin to blow my top!!

My laying hens better up the production or im gonna have to buy some already raised layin hens and they aint gonna like that at all! lol , I have never bought a full grown hen, Will it be hard to find a grown hen for sale that is as tame as mine,,(mine our like little puppies LOL)

Currently brooding 3 w/leghorn.3rir,2nhr,1bo,1rir roo (2 months)
Current Layer (or about to lay)hens 4 rir,2bsl,1wyndotte,4 b/leghorn,1 w/leghorn (4-7 months)

That's so sad, It's too bad we realize there's a problem after something has happened.

Chickenwoods, I'm so sorry for your loss. I was wondering what kind of wire you have on your tractor? I was curious, b/c we have some owls in our area also.
