Wasn’t sure which section to put this in- it IS a wild bird.
There is a little owl hanging out in my barn eating all the mice while my rooster is in bed! I haven’t named them yet cause I’m not sure if they’ll come back around but it appears to be an adult northern saw-whet owl. We’ve also had great horned come around sometimes but these guys are definitely my favorite cause they can’t eat my flock
Pictures in the trees is the great horned, it was watching pigeons while my flock was asleep. It did manage to take out my game bantam though… but our dog chases it off frequently enough to make it not want to come around

I’ve had to watch my dog every time she goes out and make sure the owl isn’t around anywhere. She’s the size and shape of a fox. Owl hasn’t gotten any other chickens thankfully… and I’m only pretty sure it was the GHO that got Alabaster (my game hen) she just disappeared one day
