owl just got a hen UPDATED

an owl has ben tryn to get my Coturnix Quail ever night for a good week. but tonight he could not get my Quail so he went for the Chickens he got a hen BUT I GOT HIM !!

first.. i did not say that i shot the owl or killed it it got in a cage with some hens i had .. i traped the owl and have taken it fare away and released it.

good job i dont know about your neck of the woods but over here there are so many owls, big ones little ones horned ones etc...

hmm.... well this owl would not give up on geeting my Quail. he got one a week ago and one lastnight and has ripped a hole in the wire on the door he would grab one and try to pull it out and kill it . so yesterday i owl proofed my Quail cage . he came back tonight could get my quail and went for my Chickens .

I'd say set up some animal cams and then you can catch different animal gettin' ur chickens and kil em!

They creep me out. I remember, when I was a kid, they'd roost in the big water oak in our front yard and hoot. My daddy'd have to scare them off them get me to stop crying.

Mother said she'd never forget one night.... She and daddy went to look for a missing cow. They were deep in the swamp and there were a pair of screech owls crying. She said it was the most awful sound, especially being down there in that swamp, far from the truck, with a tiny flashlight.

I am terrified of owls... i saw one once with binoculars and it was already looking at me!

We have Great Horned Owls up here... They are pretty big.
