Wolverines go mostly for moose... they probably wouldn't look twice at your hens.

I'm covering the trap in rat wire to prevent further head sticking. I had a very hard time getting its head out of that hole after drowning it. I don't know how it managed to do that. But yes, if they can fit their head they can get in your coop. I've set the trap back out in case there is a second ermine lurking about.

As far as predators, i'm just as concerned about them as raccoons..They are both visious killers.
The fact that they can get in a coop through such a small hole, and are meam and lean killers is very troubling. Get those coops tight people...!!

I have snow so I knew what it was as soon as I saw paw prints! I ran some fine craft wire through a chicken heart I pulled out of my freezer and wired it to the trap. Worked like a charm!

I have a chain link run with secured top so a possum would not have fit thru, SOM IT MUST HAVE BEEN A MINK OR WEASEL.
